    The only time the cars value starts to become relevant to the premium quoted is when it moves into the insurers idea of more expensive cars. This point is usuall around the £30,000 to £33,000 mark.
    If this seems odd rememeber that a £200-£300 home content insurance policy typically covers upwards of £35,000 even if you have a 1 bed flat and no TV or Hi Fi.
