Old BT equipment on house...

I have a large old metal bracket stuck on the corner of my house near the roofline, it's been there years and now rusting away. It hasn't been used for at least 15 years. It's the large old brackets they used to attach the BT wire coming to the house to.
I recently found damp on the inside of the wall and am worried the old bracket has corroded allowing water to get in.
Does anyone know if BT is still reponsible for removing this bracket or is it down to me?
cheers

If it or its screws have corroded, it will probably come off with a good tug anyway.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
