I dont think its that bad claire - have seen a lot worse SOAs but you really have to be ready to make the change...a lot of the suggestions you will get a tough as boots but if it gets you out of debt now rather than it getting worse then its worth it if that makes sense - a bit of sacrifice for some nice stuff later :D

Well the doctor from the DLA has just left. He came to do an assessment on my daughter following her application.

I really don't know how it went, he asked questions but not very fully. He said things like 'so you get up, you have a shower and then what?' and I had to keep saying, well it isn't as simple as that, I have to help her blah, blah blah, so if I hadn't said those things, it would have just looked like she is able to do everything for herself which isn't true.

Just got to wait for the decision now.

Trouble is we don't know what he has written in the report - he might well have put what we wanted him to, but it just didn't come across that way!

We can ask for a copy of his report, but by then the decision will have been made I suppose.

well i've just made the first step

i've just spoken to a very nice man at edf and explained our usage of gas and electricity with eon, he couldn't beleive how much we have put into the meter this month so far, so i have changed suppliers to them as they are one of the cheapest for prepayment meters, he then said we have to keep the prepayment meter for 28 days then if i ring up they will come out andremove it free of charge and i can go onto dd and i'll have an extra discount for being dual fuel and paying dd
