Is the bath freestanding against a wall or freestanding in the centre of the room?

Hi - well yes sort of. Having a small difficulty visualising it though. What shape is the bath. What is the bath model? Are we are talking bath very close to one wall or in corner between two walls, wall mounted taps or frame mounted. Is there room on the deck to mount them there?

Sorry!
It is this one: http://www.bathstore.com/_application/bathstore/products/baths/freestanding-baths/-trend-freestanding-1500mm-bath-with-surround-panel-1787.html?pg=0
Ideally we would put a freestanding tap such as this one -

-... behind the bath but to the right of it as you look at the picture (essentially in a corner where 2 walls meet)0 -
this bath/shower mixer needs high pressure to operate. do you have this? also how tall is the bath shower mixer? Will it reach over the bath? for this type of bath I would have thought a 3 /4 /5hole mixer mountered in the rim may be better

Thanks. Yes that should work but I'm afraid you not see these much cheaper than around £ 200. Agree with previous poster about tap spec. Is your DHW system mains or tank fed? The important issue here is not so much pressure as flow rate.

Whilst that bath is suitable for deck mounted taps IMO it would quite spoil the lines. I'd be tempted to go for an overflow filler rather than deck mount but in that case you'd have to make alternative arrangements for the shower.
