And whilst you're at it - ask your providers for an interest rate reduction. Use the "I'm a loyal customer" arguement; it doesn't work for every provider (egg!!! ) but Halifax reduced my purchase rate from 13.5% to 9.95% just by asking "When are you doing the same as Nationwide (not paying the lowest rate off first etc.)? - why should I stay with you?"
Won't reduce your payments, but it does mean that your money will pay your debt a little quicker (and if you get a half decent BT rate transfer the smallest CC balance onto it? that might save you a few quid a month....)Never attach your ego to your position....0 -
At the risk of stating the obvious- is there any chance of bringing in extra income
Selling on ebay/ amazon etc
Car boots
Anything that can go in the loot?
Literally, every penny can go at the debts. Ive recently made another £80 on ebay for example, coming off my expensive debt. Again without sounding obvious, your NEXT card simply has to be closed off asap, you are paying a 1/3 more for each of the items you bought, at least.
With kids I bet they have clothes to sell etc? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Those interest rates are crippling - although its not the highest value you might want to pay off the Next card first with as many overpayments as possible. At that APR it will takes ages to pay off on the minimum repayment. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0

With Sky wait until they offer you Sky for half price for 3 months at least or less than a quid and so on
AND don't be fooled into thinking you need a 12 months contract... they do 6 months ones... they just don't like admitting it
