I want to earn 100k a year but my job is a fraction of that, i know people start businesses but im tired in the evening and it takes up all my week. Also whenever i think of a business i can't think what to do. Duncan banatine stated before first 100k is easy...

well...

has anyone done it? If you have, any advice?

This does sound a bit random, but it's a serious question. :)

Why cant you stand the thought of working weekends, surely a job paying that much would require you to work weekends or long hours in the week, i wouldnt say no if it meant id get 2 days off in the week
  • HEY DFC I've changed my original question as it was a waste of space... just seeing what reactions would be. The new question is however legit.

For interested parties original question went something along lines of... Ive been offered a 75k pound job, but dont want to work weekends what should I do!

  • DFC would you take any job , like minimum wage in a supermarket etc? or are you being selective

well in that case then, why do you want to earn 100k, you need to work at it to get that high

  • Selective i.e. not prepared to take any job. Do you live anywhere near london? If so I can probabally help you find a job, that's all - I would like to do something to help someone looking for a job - and am sure I could find a job for you if you live in london, and were prepared to work for NMW and give you advice for interviews etc

lol no i dont live near london but thanks, why dont oyu work for a recruitment agency if you like helping people find a job
  • I've managed my life very poorly so far and am in my late twenties, I think thats the main reason I can't do all those things, well just about any of them actually. My current salary is 26k.

That was kind of random wasn't it... the reason this came about is I was reading awaken the giant within yesterday and as part of the goal setting session I had to set 'contribution goals' and mine was to help someone get a job on MSE ! although I set myself a year target to do it so a way off yet I guess!
