incapacity medical examination- how often?

Does anyone know how often you have to have a medical assessment if you are on incapacity benefit?

It can range from 3 months to 5 years.
Some people never have a medical assessment if they are exempt.0 -
i recently went through the review system and got a letter at the end saying i was ok to continue and 'my next assessment would be ,,,,,' they actually gave me a dated it would happenmfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

Just a warning- the usually stick to that date but sometimes for no apparent reason it can actuially be later!0
