Triton Mixer Shower

I have a pressurised water system in my house with 3 power showers and 1 electric shower.

The power shower which is used 95% of the time is playing up. The house was built just over 2 years ago and I had the plumber out last week to look at it.

He took the Triton mixer shower apart and yes it was clogged with dirt in the filter so he cleaned it and said that should be it sorted.

I tired the shower for the first tonight as I was using another shower over the weekend and problem back/didn’t go away!!!

The problem is, when I turn the shower on it starts then stops I have to turn it off and o a few times then it will eventually go on but make a squealing noise and then I can’t turn it off. I have to turn off the mains water then release a screw on the shower mixer unit let the water run through it then turn the shower completely off. I can then turn the mains on again.

Any one any ideas? I think it’s the main mixer unit and it needs replaced!!

Any chance of model details? When you say "pressurised" do you mean mains pressure? What do you mean by "power" shower?

    Cheers

Go to the Triton website and checked what model you have as some of the units came with a 3 year warranty. I have fun with mine as the valve seems to get blocked up somehow and it becomes stiff to turn on/off had the valve replaced 3 times and last month they replaced it with completely new designed unit.

Thank you - yes it would at least that would enable it to be identified which would help to tell you common causes of failure with that unit.
