Negative feedback after NPD

Hello,
I wondered if any of you could offer me some advice. A buyer from Spain won one of my auctions a couple of weeks ago. After 4 days, he hadn't paid and hadn't contacted me so I sent him a message asking if he still wanted the item. We got into a long dialogue of whether or not he wanted it - he said he might pay in a coiple of days, then when pushed would try to pay in a couple of days and by 25th at the latest, then final message was I'd have to wait until 25th. I had doubts that he would even pay then and was advised to file a NPD which I did. Buyer paid, I sent the item the next day.
He obviously received the item today and has left me negative feedback in Spanish which I can make out to mean bad communication (even though I'd been the one to initiate all communication) and impatient.
I'm guessing there's nothing I can do about this? Just where is the protection for the seller? Especially if a NPD had to be issued just to get payment.

I'm not sure you can remove it, but I think there's a way you can comment on it, therby puuting your side of the story, i.e. that you had to initiate a NPD.
Have you checked his feedback? And left your own?Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

I didn't suggest what feedback be left It sounds like other people need to know that OP had to fight to get his payment - that's all he should need to say in feedback to warn others off.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Yes they can respond, but that is not the same as leaving feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you open a NPD and the buyer doesn't respond to Ebay's email, regardless of whether they pay you in the meantime , you can have the neg removed. I've done this twice in the past, Not responding to ebay is listed as one of the reasons a negative can be removed,0
