Going Australia, what credit card??

Hi,

I'm going to Oz for a while and was advised to get a credit card over here first, but just wanted to know which one would be best for purchases over there, was advised that Nationwide is a good one, what d'ya think?? any ideas??

    Yeah - Nationwide is good. Also the Post Office too.

    You want to look for a card with '0% fee on use abroad' or 'commission free use abroad'.

    Most cards charge 2.75% on every transaction made in a foreign currency.

    Nationwide is 1% outside the EU.
    Post Office is 0% anywhere.

    Santander Zero? Also has 0% on purchases for the first 3 months
  • Santander Zero is now better than Nationwide outside Europe.
  • Went to Oz with a Nationwide card a few years ago,would take a Post Office card if I was going now
    I have a deep burning indifference
