Desperately Needing Some Advice!!!!!
We have just received a letter from Scottish Power to inform us that our capped rate expires on the 10th July and that they are putting their prices up (quite drastically i might add) and they have given us the opportunity of taking up another capped with them until October 08 but the prices for that are even high then what their normal prices will be. We did a comparison based on our last bill and their increase means that we will be paying an extra £150 per quarter if we go with the capped price.
We have tried other companies and they all say they can't beat Scottish Powers prices.
Should we go with the capped price or take the risk and go with the normal prices????
Can anybody help us with our decisions please?

When you did a comparison didn't EBICO come up? They are still really reasonable - just one price of 1.94 per Kwh however you choose to pay and even when they put prices up, they should still be competitive. I am in the process of switching to them at the moment, just wish I had done it ages ago.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
I went with ebico as well, why don't you try posting on the utilities board, under gas & elec, maybe someone can advise more.No one said it was gonna be easy!0
