Got send this e-mail today warning about DE-icer cans left in the car during this hot period:

Here is a little warning for you, it is very true HONESTLY.
My car exploded in the car park of the New London Road offices in
Chelmsford yesterday after a can of De-icer in my boot got hot. The car
is a write off after fire gutted it and could have been worse if I were
inside the car!
PLEASE, PLEASE ensure you do not have any canisters in your vehicles and
pass this message on to friends and colleagues

Brings back memories of my secretary years ago who left her personal alarm (one of the gas ones) in the glove box of her car, she went out at 5.30 to find the dashboard wrecked. The can had exploded in the heat, fortunatley no fire.0
