Just under 2 years employment & about to be made redundant

I read to get any redundancy pay, you have to be with the company for 2 years, the its a weeks wage (max £380) for every years service.

I've just been told today I will find out in 48 hours if I am to be made redundant (Im 100% I will be ).

I have been with the company for JUST under 2 years. I have to work 4 weeks notice, this 4 weeks from now will take me over 2 years service - does this count or is the 2 years up until you are told of redundancies?

It is counted until the date you actually leave the company (not the date you are served with your redundancy notice) so you'll be OK with regard to receiving redundancy money.

That was lucky for you,
Had you only needed to work a weeks notice you would have lost the lot.
