Room Thermostat Warranty

I am currently in dispute with my installer as room stat no longer working after 13.5 months. It ticks when battery put in but will not connect to boiler. They say out of 12 month warranty and Baxi say it lies with the installer to sort out!!!! I am confused as to what rights I have if any to demand replacement or repair.

If I was the installer I wouldn't even argue about it. Should last longer than that. He'd just get it changed by his supplier anyway, (especially if he fitted another one or two 6 months ago
