Phone ur local Dss and ask for a form for a " community care grant" it is a grant from the dss where u dont have to pay back and it is to help people in very hard situations, and there is a good chance that u will be able to get some money off them.
This is a little info about a Community care grant, even if ur situation is not listed here pls try and apply and make sure u have all the evidence to back it up like a letter from the surgeon all the added info u have will help your case. Do u have an Occupational therapist or any other people who are involved with your daughter on a medical basis if they can give you letters to back up your claim it will add a lot of clout.

If you need financial help to live independently in the community or to ease exceptional pressure on you and your family you may be able to get a Community Care Grant. You don't have to pay it back.
    Who is eligible?
You can apply for a Community Care Grant if you are either:
already getting Income Support, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Pension Credit, or payment on account of one of these benefits
likely to start getting one of these benefits within the next six weeks because you're moving out of care
and any one of the following applies:
you're moving out of residential or institutional care to live independently
you're moving to a new home which will be more suitable for you following an unsettled period in your life and are being resettled by an organisation like a local council or voluntary organisation
you need help to stay in your home and not go into residential care or hospital
you need help because you or your family face exceptional pressure, such as family breakdown or because one of you has a long-term illness
you look after someone who is ill or disabled, or has been released from custody on temporary licence
you need help with expenses such as visiting someone who is ill, or to attend a relative's funeral

Take care and hope u r successful x

Thanks for the reply. I will get on the phone to them, DD has an occupational therapist a hydrotherapist. I will get a letter from them today and send it off with the forms.

I feel so bad the fact that i have applied for a Community Care Grant because when DD is in hospital we will be travelling every day to see her so we have asked for fuel payments back and forth because we have a DS who is 10 months old and we have no one to look after him

Try the family fund for some extras. They are very nice though takes a while. I'm sure they will help. Plus maybe if you have a local crossroads & homestart they may help you with a bit of support at times of surgery. To the point of babysitting whilst you take a bit of time for a sleep or soak in bath.

I have spoken to them and they have advised they cannot help with financial movements but they can help towards a new bed and appliances which i give the thumbs up for :T

I'm a bit confused by the above. Do you have a property in mind to move into? Or is that what you're waiting for before giving in your notice? does the landlord have any reason to give a poor reference?

Yes we have been to see it 2 times now and we have the forms here as i speak.

The only thing is i need a landlords reference because im not working and claiming benefits.

The landlord has no reason to give a poor reference the only problem was the boiler packed in 2 times in 3 weeks. However that was not our fault. The parts inside broke.
