Hi
For somewhere to eat i would suggest the Big Wok its a buffet and really good value and good selection of chinese food, lunch costs 5.49 and dinner is 8.00 all you can eat.(from what I can remenber) Its in the chinese quarter next to the indoor market. For drinks the best place is by the canals, Brindley Place really nice pubs but quite pricey. (nice food outlets too,Strata our something like that has got rave reviews and theres also Peti Blanc) Just off that is broad st which was described by the news of the world as debased! Lots of young drunk girls in minis. The best italien place imo is san carlo but it is quite pricey and the staff quite rude but if you want to push the boat out.(thats in the centre of brum by St Pauls)
Most of the well known balti curry houses are outside the centre just off the stratford road, imrans is one of the most famous. There are plenty of pubs in the centre which cater for all tastes but I can't tell you more as I am too oldBut if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!

Summer Row... Mechu and Apres bars are considered better class
than Broad St. , as Broad st looking a bit seedy these days ( unless of course thats what you are after)
Also St Pauls Sq ... bit out of way
Personally I would have thought other towns would have more to do ( grass greener...)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
