Flowers On The Allotment

Hello,
I'm after suggestions for flowers to grow on the allotment that I can then cut and put indoors. Ideally, as low maintenance as possible and something that can be moved around the beds or is an annual.
I've only a little allotment (a large one would be way too much for me) so, they'll have to become part of the yearly rotation scheme.
thanks
Emma

Well, I love Sweet Peas, easy to grow and the more you cut the more flowers you have, great for having in the house they smell gorgeous, also I had dahlias, got some plants ready started from the car boot for a few pound, lovely flowers in lots of colours that last ages after they have been cut, beware though, ear wigs love them, eww, Marigolds are a good ones too!
I lost my allotment when I moved and am gutted, back to growing in pots.
Happy planting

Yes, agree...sweetpeas would be good, plus you need to keep cutting them for the flowers to keep coming. I'd also grow cosmos. The ordinary ones, 'Sensation' are very easy to grow from seed (annuals) and you can easily save seed for sowing next year. There are all sorts of other pretty varieties of these....Cosmos 'Seashells' is a nice one, with the petals forming little sort of tube shapes.2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.

I really like poppies. Might be alone on this but they look so nice, and grow super easy.0

Sweetpeas are lovely! We tried to have a cuttings area in our garden last year but sadly none of them grew. I would be keen to see which flowers are easy to grow in a darker area of the garden that are good for cutting.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
