  • I've recently (with a lot of help from people on here!) gutted my old pc and put in a new graphics card, mother board, processor and RAM, was a lot easier then I thought it'd be too.

Thought about building one from scratch?

my shiny new high end one only came with a single PCI slot 6 months back..... shouldn't be a problem now but for future reference they seem to be being phased out in favour of PCIe

that's the trouble my current dying pc has two pcis so with my two duel tuners I record 4 channels at once (on the rare occasion 4 good programs are on)

I wouldn't touch a m/b with only one pci slot. The pcie is a gpu connect. I guess the big switch is to USB or onboard, eg audio, lan etc.
