Apple powerbook duo 280

Dear all,
I have just discovered an apple power book duo 280 in the loft, think it is a very old work related pc I acquired a very long time ago. It works when connected to the mains, battery does not seem to work.
Can this be upgraded? I think it only has some megabit HD and not sure what other things I can do with it, any suggestion will be most appreciated.

That's a very old model - you won't be able to upgrade it to anything modern, so I wouldn't bother. Apple laptops from that era tended to be quite reliable, so it may still work, in which case it may have some collector's value!
