becareful just going from card to card provider will destroy your credit profile, try your bank.0

Do you have any idea why you were declined by MBNA? Would you consider appealing?0

i have no idea why i was declined by MBNA, they sent some vague response, basically saying its the credit score. i have also been declined for a tesco loan.
I missed one payment in november and that card (Halifax) reduced my limit considerably. It was an oversight on my part by not making sure that funds were available for the direct debit and paid a few days after. I do have some outstanding debts, so my available credit to used credit ratio has been brought closer to 1:1 where as it wasnt too bad before. I was trying to reduce the interest im paying, but it doesnt seem like its going to be possible if i cant transfer the balance.
Anyone know of any other cards people have had success with?0 -

I also got rejected by MBNA, then tried Barclaycard OrangeCard and got accepted. I already have Barclaycard Platinum, so I seem to have more luck with them.0 -
"Think about Orange Credit Card Credit Card if you:
- Want a credit card that rewards you every time you make a purchase
- You are aged 18 or over
- You are not a full time student
- You haven’t missed payments on a credit card, loan or mortgage in the last 12 months"

It will be difficult to get a prime card if you've missed a payment recently.
The Barclaycard Initial doesn't have this stipulation however. Whilst the standard APR is 27.9%, they do offer 6.9% LOB rate (zero fee) to all new customers even though it isn't mentioned on the product brief on their website.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
