We went to Bath for our anniversary at the end of May. We stopped right in the middle of the city and it cost us £114 for bed breakfast and Evening meal for the both of us. Not saying that was cheap, but if you go for a hotel (ours was Macdonald Francis) then make sure you ask for a double bed on your booking as it is your Anniversary.

We ended up with a Free bottle of Champagne with the evening meal and they upgraded our room to a Four Poster.
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

    Hi

This is what I did recently. I am a member of Marriott club, which you can join online https://www.marriott.com They are doing a 3 nights for 2 for members until 7th August. Find a hotel that you like and check the rates after you have your membership number. Enter code M11 in code box and this will give you the B&B rate for the room, for the stay per night. Many of these hotels have spas. Now you can also use the Marriott £100 coupons against the stay provided that you guarantee the room with a visa card. They are auctioning these on ebay but I have a spare one if you pm me.

    Example: Marriott Royal hotel Bristol:
    £73 per room per night = £219 - £100 coupon = £119.

There are hotels that are cheaper and more expensive.

    Hope this is useful.
