IVA or DMP?

Hmmm ... tough call Jeddy ... I LOVE my holidays I have to say and it would break my heart to have a holiday all paid for and not be able to go
...
Yes - you have to be realistic and think - Can you afford it?!
And I guess since the holiday(s) are already paid for then from this point of view there isn't really a problem. You'll have holiday entitlement from work so again - no problems - you'll not lose out on income ...
SPENDING MONEY will be the main issue ... but with regards to your financial situation, you've already taken the first step and faced up to things and I would say that you will (in a matter of months) have made your decision one way or another as to which form of addressing the debt you'll go with...
So while you may not (obviously) have SPENDING MONEY allocated in a DMP / IVA, you still have to live, so you could TRY to do a home-from-home holiday... don't eat in McDonald's when you're away but stay away fro The Ritz too (but sure that's a given...)
While I would not advise you to run up credit so that you can go on holiday - you may still be able to go, without putting yourself further in debt.
Perhaps a few £'s might come your way from family ??? This isn't breaking any laws!!
You might have a surplus allocated each month in the IVA/DMP (say £40-50) - if you don't use this - set it aside ...
Holidays are already paid for, you have to eat whether you're at home or in Piazza San Marco in Venice (hmmm lovely ... just don't eat in the Square itself - it costs a FORTUNE
) - so I would say that you could still take the holidays but be realistic! 0 -
Do change bank accounts to a bank you dont currently owe money to
Don't run up extra debt coz it might be fraud
Do try to be realistic about what you can afford
Don't commit to a monthly repayment that is beyond your means simply becasue it's less than you're currently paying now
Do try to sirt this out as soon as possible
Don't pay anybody anything for advice, you can get it all for free, you'll be paying for the solution that is put in place for youWould you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
