I think you'll prolly find that poster is concerned that you are are giving the impression that the scrappage scheme can be circumvented with retrospective paperwork being submitted for work already completed. With your experience people might take this as gospel and try it themselves only to be disappointed which would be a shame.
Equally with the scrappage scheme providing a voucher to be used against labour costs how would you use it when the person concerned has only been charged for materials as per the other thread. BTW perhaps you'd be kind enough to answer my questions in post 8 of that thread when you have a minute. Ta.
So the your posts seem a tad confused although I'm quite sure its just a misunderstanding which, I guess, you'll be quite happy to clear up.
Cheers

Heating-eng.
You created a potential for misunderstanding vis-a-vis the scrappage scheme which could mislead people out there. I do not believe you have missed this thread as you seem to have missed the earlier question.
It seems unprofessional to me not to come out and say "Actually there is a loophole in the scheme" as you have implied or "Oops sorry I made a mistake". If you got it wrong no criticism should be attracted because you stood up and admitted it. We all get things wrong.
Please clarify the position or people may be misled.
Thank you.

He or she is very quiet on this post which is unusual for them.0 -
Run for the hills Heating-Eng whoever you are.
I'd be keeping well out of the way of someone chasing me round an internet forum dragging up snippets from other threads...............

On one thread HE says that he has already replaced an old boiler with a new one.
In another thread he says he has applied for the boiler scrappage scheme for the same installation that has already been completed.
That implies that you can retrospectively apply for the scrappage scheme for an installation that has already been completed. If that is true it opens the door for others to do the same thing which is fine.
If that is not true its either mistaken or misleading. Either way (bearing in mind the data has come from an RGI) people could be led to believe they can do something under the scheme which they cannot - that would be wrong.
He was asked to clarify on both threads more than once which has not happened. T his thread was therefore started to bring it back to the top of the pile in an attempt to get the requested clarification. Either way I don't care but the clarification is still wanting. It can't be that difficult
I hope thats a little clearer for you now.

yes i fitted my mums boiler and afterwards we applied for the boiler scrapage grant ...i hadnt applied for it before and i didnt know that you had to wait for a voucher before fitting new boiler ...but she had to have one because her boiler was leaking .i have later found out that she wouldnt be able to get the grant anyway ...doesnt matter she got a good job done at a very good price ..cost slightly more than i quoted in the end but she's happy thats all that matters ....
now why dont you try and help people rather than trying to attack people ..grow up ..X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

Fine thanks you've clarified it. It isn't possible and now people who read this cannot be misled into believing it is. Thats all I was after- why was it so difficult to answer then? Several times now you've been asked and you appear to have been very evasive by not answering. Not answering is injurious to your own reputation and that of the heating industry because it looked like there was something to hide.
Attacking? Don't be so silly. I haven't attacked you. I have asked you politely for a simple clarification. You may have been locking horns with others around here on a daily basis since you arrived but don't translate that across to me thank you very much. Put away the testosterone and grow up yourself!

Surprising though it may seem that is EXACTLY what this is about helping them not to do the wrong thing and subsequently have their hopes dashed because someone wouldn't clarify a pretty glaring inconsistency in something that they had written. If it were not for that possibility I'd have ignored this issue some time ago.
Cheers and Goodnight
i said something in 2 different threads only a sado would quote word for word what somebody has said ..you were just out to try and say i was wrong about somethings thats all .as you have been in many of your posts. been looking at all your posts seems that you are an expert in just about everything now i wish i was as clever as you ..:idea:X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.
