Repair Heated Rear Demister Wire
Lease car going back, and there is a break in one of the wires.
I have tried the stuff from Scratch Doctor (?) on EBay and it has failed at first attempt. I will try again but any other ideas?
Main problem is this stuff is quite thin in consistency so I am planning on letting settle and the drain off some of the solvent giving me hopefully a thicker mix.
Car goes back on Friday so not much time.

Was my first thought too.0 -
I just have this feeling that these guys are probably getting burnt on returns just now and any excuse to hit the customer will be taken.0

Clean the rear screen and drive with the window open, that way they'll never know it was broken when you returned it.0

To charge you for any repair they'll have to demonstrate that it was faulty before you sign the return form. If they don't, you can quite legitimately suggest that it became damaged after you handed it back.
Make sure the rear screen is pristine clean, and completely dry, and they'll never know.0 -
got any packets of silica gel that usually come in shoes or electronics? leave one on the back shelf and it wont steam up for a few days so the fault will go unnoticed.0

How about a nice graphite pencil and gently rub where its broken to deposit some of the graphite in the break.0
