    Well it seems that bankruptcy is my only option. I'll see what information there is on the bankruptcy board to get an idea what my next step should be. I really need to talk to somebody about this.

    Thanks again everybody for your very helpful contributions.

    For your information I went onto the bankruptcy board and got the phone number of CCCS. I phoned them and got through immediately. I can't believe just how helpful these people are; within half an hour on the phone they had enough information to formulate a plan for me - which may not be bankruptcy. They are going to phone me back on Thursday with all the details.

    I know the next few weeks are not going to be a ride in the park, but just having someone who exercises some goodwill to a person in my position is consoling.

    So thanks again to all of you for pointing me in the right direction.

  • Once CCCS have given you your options, come back on here and tell us what they said. They may offer you an IVA which may be poor value in your circumstances.
