Just received a "pre-selected"
mailshot for the Monumnet Visa Platinum CC (part of Barclays) with 0% on BT and purchases until November 05.
Visa Paltinum min repayment 2%. Be aware that in the small 0print they also refer to the Platinum Visa card with a 3% min repayment.
Might apply for this and BT my Egg balance to it then re-SBT on my egg (still in my original 5 month period) ;D

Its not the minimum repayments youve got to worry about on the Premium Visa, its the 2.5% charge on balance transfers !!!
Two cards - Premium VISA and Visa Platinum !!
Premium Visa
2.5% balance transfer fee
Visa Platinum
2% balance transfer fee ,
Both apparently capped at £50
I would look at other cards first then maybe give this one a shot.0 -
It's a lot of cobblers of course, but the man from Monument claimed that their fees on BTs were [in his words] "negotiable". Whether they are as a new customer or not is another matter. But you might try that line out on Monument if you wish.
[The card is still good for making puchases however].....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
They all seem to be turning into 0% purchase cards, used to be pretty rare now starting to match 0% balance transfers.
Me thinks the credit card companies are gettign wise0 -
I got one the mailshots as well,
But I've been told that 'pre-selected' is just sales talk and it doesn't guarantee that u'll be accepted.. :-/0
