Hello,
I've just finished my 18mth contract with BT for the land line and my 12mth contract with O2 for the Broadband and I'm trying to find the best deal that's available at the minute.
I'm spending a fortune on BT on average £45 a quarter without even picking up the phone ( I don';t often ring mobiles or international and the migority of my calls are made during the evening )and £12.50 a mth with O2.
I'm hoping that there is a bundle going around which would include line rental , local and national calls and BB as cheaply as poss as i'm also trying to get rid of some debt this year and as they say look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
Any ideas?
Maxine

You will be lucky to get much cheaper. BT's line rental is £11.54 per month (£34.62 per quarter), which means your calls are £10 or so over a quarter or only £3.50 odd per month.0 -
Which? magazine has a summary of Broadband bundles in this month's issue, with Utility Warehouse coming out as the only Best Buy.0

Registering an 02 mobile no. on your broadband account will save you a fiver a month on the cost (reducing it to £7.50). That's £60pa saving straight away.
If you don't use your phone in the daytime then makes sure you are on both paperless billing and DD, as your BT line rental and E&W call package should then cost £11.54pm, not £15. Further saving of approx £42pa.
PS: some people renewing 02 Home BB have reported being offered a discount to £5pm from £7.50pm. So it's worth asking them what they can do.No free lunch, and no free laptop
