Noisy fan on sony vaio

Hi everyone I hope you can help, the fan on my sony vaio is really noisy sounds like something is stuck in it but there isn't I've not had it 12 months.

What can I do?

You could try giving the fan opening a quick squirt of compressed air (the type used for cleaning computers of course!), make sure you turn the Vaio off first.

If that doesn't work you may have to open the casing and have a look unless it is still under warranty in which case take it back.

This is a Sony. The fin construction on the heat sink is the most complicated and efficient in the world.

Using compressed air can both distort these fins and fill the cavities with dust which may quieten your fan but will do nothing for the cooling.

Take it to the shop and demand it's checked under warranty

I bought it online from tesco so who would i take it to?

The retailer, in this case Tesco, is responsible for any item that they sell, I would contact them.

I've rang tesco and got through to sony off their system it's being collected on Wednesday and will be away for a week
