Laying carpet in strips

house looks lovely.

i'd use tiles. my house was stripped and refitted 3 years ago. things are just starting to go wrong now, i wouldnt like a wearing carpet to add to the list of jobs to be done.

i would rather let them mark the walls getting the carpet inside, than glue/piece the carpet together after.
the cost of making good the walls would be very small.

id be amazed if a carpet would not go up any stairs or thro any window.
