Well I called them & they just took the details. No mention of money back or anything. Guess I'll just have to wait & see what they send me unless anyone else can enlighten us as to what happens now?
I phoned up last week after getting the same letter giving me till end of this month and gave them the actual figures I earnt, which were £2k LESS than what I had estimated.

I recieved a payment of eight whole pounds in my bank from them today! I am assuming its related to the finalisation of the 08/09 award but as I havent had the letter from them yet, im still not too sure.

I would assume you will get a lump sum at the end of this week in your account.

Lol, mine was about £4.5K so I'll keep an eye out for a credit of about £16 :rotfl:

    Hiya
Well I call today and spoke to a really helpful lady (their not all bad) who could see straight away what the problem was,

I called them on 29th July 09 with amended figures for 08-09 I said that my income was final (as i earn the same wage every year self employed) But when I gave my husbands I said ESTIMATED!!! The nice lady could see that on my notes.

But there wonderful system read that as final! so the people at the top have said that's the final decision! (Guess the don't bother read each case's notes)
And the only way this can be changed now is by appeal (even though its there fault)

So the lady strongly advised me to appeal! and then started talking of claims courts etc..... (scary) but she did say It hopefully won't go that far and they will see my appeal and the error made and rectify it.

Going by Evie89 figures I should get back abut £20!!!!! Lol

So fingers crossed it all works out x
  • Make sure when you appeal that you ask then to review the note that was left on 29th July. The system wont have read it as an actual figure by itself, the adviser has more than likely failed to tick the box stating you used an estimate. Everyone can make mistakes and hopefully this one will be sorted soon.

Hope you manage to sort it out Buba. I got the expected sum into my account this weekend, but haven't got any paperwork about it yet.
