All a bit confuzzling!

I am going to attempt to claim back the ppi from a personal loan i took out when i was a student. i made the payments from 2005-2007 without a problem as i had a job after leaving uni,but in 2008 i found out i was pregnant and my job contract came to an end.i missed many payments and after numerous phonecall to hsbc they gave me a managed loan to cover the loan and my od. i was going over my statement last night and realised they gave me ppi with the managed loan even though they knew i was jobless and pregnant.
my questions:
a) am i able to claim back the managed loan ppi as well and
b) will it affect my loan at all if i try?
im paying v.reduced payments on my loan at the moment as we're trying to pay off my husbands debts first as theyr bigger (mine is only £4000)
Thanks
:)

    Hi there

I think you have a good chance here to be honest.

So yes you can claim back PPI on the managed loan and any other loan you have had with them that included PPI, for your reasons.

With the loan, they may use the refund towards the arrears.
Anything left remaining should be refunded directly to you.
This may vary though, maybe not all banks do it this way.

    For more on reclaiming here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
This is useful, with templates, a checklist of mis selling reasons and so on, they have 8 weeks in full to respond and if you can post by recorded delivery as this will be your proof of posting.

Hope this helps, wishing you luck, please ask for help anytime and let us know how you get on, cheers.;)
