We sent my mother in law some flowers from InterFlora. She lives in New Zealand and we ordered the flowers online. I chose a beautiful bouquet and paid for the exact same size and style bouquet in the picture. The Interflora photo showed a beautiful arrangement which was full of flowers.
My mother in law thanked us for the flowers and sent us an online a picture of her holding them...... I was so disappointed and embarrased, it looked nothing like the picture and had a few limp flowers inbetwen mostly foliage absolutely nothing like the picture that I was supposed to have ordered. They cost $90 n.z (around £35) and so should have pretty good for that money.
We didn't want to make a fuss in front of my mother in law and she would never say anything to us about them so do we just leave it or can we complain in a way that she won't be involved?

Well, you have the photo that she sent you and the Interflora photo, so there is clear evidence that you did not get what you paid for. I suggest that you email both photos to the people whom you paid, and send a copy to the credit card with which you made payment. My guess is that if anyone at the florist's actually reads your message (everything is probably automated) then you will get a grovelling apology, because this is such a clear-cut case.0

I would write to interflora with a copy of the picture from the website (if still available), the photo of the flowers and say that the product received did not match their advertising... probably refund the cost and/ or give you a voutcher for future use.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Thanks for the replies.
Sorry I didn't make myself clear but by online picture it was actually a video message of her holding the flowers but oh is a techie so maybe he can freeze the image for me and I can send it to them.0 -
If your other half can't do it, then upload the video to this site:

PM or post the link it gives you and i will take a snap shot for you and send you back a jpg image you can attach to your email.
I hate interflora and find them far too expensive simply because they are the most well known and people use them for ease!0 -
I used to work for an interflora florist, and while interfloras customer service was good (this is 13 years ago) the mark up on the flowers was disgusting. The set arrangements (the ones you order from the web site, or in my day from the catalogue in the shop) were ridiculously overpriced and didn't cost anywhere near what they charged to put together.
My boss always used to add extra to the required design because she felt so guilty about people being ripped off. If you ever order via interflora again it's usually best to ask for an arrangement or bouquet of the florists own design, (not sure if you can do this via the website but you can if you call in or phone up any interflora shop) you get much better value for money that way but if the person you are sending the flowers to has a favourite flower or colour you can still ask for it to be added to the arrangement.
Also in this day and age of the net it's often possible and quite easy to find a florist in the area you want to send flowers to who will accept orders via email or their own website. I do this for my friend who lives in Texas and save a fortune on interflora prices.0
