Still waiting to go out - it's chucking it down.
Persuaded DH to do some write ups for some old broken laptops that he's got stashed away so that I can get them listed on ebay - they both seem to sell at around £20/40 as faulty so that's money I'd rather have in the bank than sitting under the bed.
Squizz - What you planting this year? My garden is sooooo tiny so I can't do as much as I'd like - will be doing runner beans again as they did well last year...more tomatoes too as they were lush...oh and courgettes as they were amazing last year....got my strawberries in hanging baskets and a herb bed that my cats love to lay in.
Good plan with the laptops!
Planting, erm, lots of different things, there won't be loads of anything but there hopefully will be...
Potatoes
Onions
Garlic
Spinach
Chard
Radishes
Fennel
Broccoli (three different types)
Broad beans
Haricot beans
French beans
Sweetcorn
Leeks
Aubergines
Courgettes
Peppers
Tomatoes
and assorted herbs!
What kind of courgettes do you grow? Mine wouldn't produce male and female flowers at the same time last year so trying an F1 variety this year.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Morning all
I'm stuck in a heated discussion with DH about what subjects DD should choose as her GCSE options. As she really hasnt a clue what she wants to do, I said she should choose things that would give her a good general education. DH says she should just choose the subjects she likes. :think:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Either that or try companion planting and put some marigolds or something in between
Sure you already know this though!

I would do a mix, but the core subjects she has to do English, Maths, Science will give her the general important subjects. I would probably then let her do something she enjoys as she is more likely to do well in itI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I just brought a pack of courgette seeds from wilkinsons and bunged them in pots Squizz - so I wouldn't have a clue.....they grew - they produced courgettes and we ate them - that's as technical as my gardening gets."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Hmm well I do like courgettes but that might be excessive :rotfl: Spud - that reminds me, have butternut squash seeds too! It's almost planting time for some things, aubergines need started off early indoors apparently. Can't wait to get going with the gardening this year, I even have a little calendar made out with what to plant whenDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
