Hi,
I have seen excellent advice on these forums that has introduced me to VOIP and also Linux receivers that I had never even heard of before! I am now using both of these technologies and I am extremely impressed with the benefits. I have the MSE Techies to thank for showing me the light! lol
I was just about to undertake the mammoth task of entering all my contact details into Microsoft Outlook but I thought that I had better check to see if there was an alternative that would perform better??
I have seen some mention of websites that centrally store information on their server that can be accessed anywhere in the world, although I am not sure whether this would be a benefit to me.
In summary, I want to store telephone numbers, addresses, company details, DOB’s etc and would like to sync with devices such as my Siemens Gigaset (which sync’s with Outlook) and my mobile phone. It would also be good to get notified of upcoming birthdays.
I am open to any suggestions or combinations of applications or even a completely different approach with more added benefits and improved efficiency. I’m sure that you have some great systems and I would love to hear them.
Thanks in advance

The only alternative I have ever seen is Custom Address Book.
It can be customised very easily though not sure if its free or not.
Just as a matter of interest, why are the standard MS utils not doing what you need them to.Computers are like me, I get up in the morning and work...until I stop.0 -
I havent used it but "eM Client 2" might suit. Find it here http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/em-client-2-alternative-to-outlook-thunderbird/0

I use Sage's Act CRM for all my contacts, but I've found the older version (6-7) far more reliable the newer sage branded Act products. Never tried to connect them to any devices though.0
