faulty lcd tv

hi i recently bought a sanyo 42 inch lcd tv of a company that attaches a meter to the tv and takes payment that way ( yes i know im going to pay double for the tv but with a credit rating as bad as mine i had no other choice ) .
i have had it less than 2 months but allready it has been sent back to them with the same recurring fault twice ( all the black colour turns green ) , they say they found and repaired the fault twice but it has gone again tonight
Can anyone tell me if i am entitled to a brand new replacement cos it is the 3rd time for the same fault or can they keep trying to repair it ?

Thanks Darren

I dont get it you say you bought a 42" tv yet it has a meter to it. Dont you mean you got a 42" but pay for it via a meter

I notice you have some debts, if it was me I wouldn't be getting a new tv, a crt is more than adequate and they throwing many large ones away right now. I just took two to tip last week one was 28" widescreen it was working fine but MIL wanted a 40" LCD for her new house

Well assuming its a service you bought the sale of goods still apply here the trouble is the courts decide whats reasonable, I would say 2 months and 2 repairs is reasonable to expect a new tv myself or similar tv myself

look mate !!!! off alright ! i came on here for some advice not to be lectured by some 21 year old !!!! who probably still lives with his mother and works in a non job for the government ( and in my opinion thats where this country has gone wrong , how ever did we survive on 600,000 civil servants before labour came to power ? thank god they took on over 5 million more all on above average pays and with final salary pension schemes )
And for anyones info i am paying £6 a week for this tv and i needed one as my old crt failed and without the approx £100 in cash for even a 28 inch second hand tv that was the only i could do it

For goodness sake!!! the OP wasn't asking you all to pass judgement on his financial status, he was asking for some advice on a faulty TV.
Get in touch with the company first and explain that this will be the third time this has happened, ask for a new TV or you will have no choice but to seek advice (CAB may be able to help) and that you won't be paying in the mean time. I know this means you might have to go with out a telly for a bit, but that aint the end of the world xx

How is it the OP's fault that the television he has developed a fault?

What an extremely ignorant and pointless comment to make. You should keep your vile gloatings to yourself if you have no useful advice to offer.

Lives with his mother with a big fat wad of cash sat aside for a housing deposit - I'd rather do that than !!!! money away on some grotty rented bedsit.

I might be 21 but a 21 year old who can blatantly see that if I had a load of debt buying a 42" Flatscreen TV on "pay as you go 500% APR" would be the last thing on my list of priorities.

28" CRT TVs aren't £100, I picked up a 28" Sony Trinitron with glass stand for £50 and I've seen 32" go for £40 and some given away.

I have just purchased a 42"LCD full HD tv having just got rid of my old 32" crt tv.

when you first use the 42" it seems like you are in a cinema....well kind of.But after a few days it is what it is and that is just a large Television,we used to have a 42" plasma but that went pop after just Ninety days and we got our money back and got an old CRT.

Then we saw the 42" we have got now,it was an absolute bargain and we saved and went for it,but at the end of the day its just a Television.

    Thats my opinion.

Speak to the company that you got the TV from and see what they say,and for crying out loud try and save for one instead of paying the ridiculous prices that you will end up paying for the meter one.

    Good luck.
