How do I measure my Laptop size?

Hello

Ok, this is probably a daft question but I'm not sure how to work out the size of my laptop! lol

I want to buy a case for my laptop but I'm not sure how to measure it. On adverts for TVs they show it diagonally (corner to corner type thing) so do I do that or is it just straight across the screen?

Corner to corner (diagonally) its 17", straight across is 14". So, which is it? :rotfl:

Thank you!!

I think you are meant to measure diagonally from bottom left, to top right.
