in Credit cards
we recently re-financed and paid off our credit card with a personal loan from the same bank. Stupidly we have spent on our credit card and have been charged payment protection insurance each month. We contacted the credit card company and have now cancelled this insurance. The person on the phone informed us that when we paid the credit card off with the loan the payment protection insurance should have been automatically cancelled, and that we should be able to claim back these charges. He suggested we made an appointment with the bank to discuss this matter. But before I do this I thought I would seek some third party advice which is where you come in. Please help. Thanks

The payment protection would only have been cancelled if you had cancelled it.
The other side of the coin is you spending money on the card and then making a claim only to be told the insurance had been cancelled by the bank - how would you feel then?0
