  • Just updating. Cleaned toaster after getting dh to check no dead mice inside. We have had 2 mice this week and only caught one so I know there is still another at bay - I am irrationally terrified of them. Iget my 7 year old to check before going into the kitchen in the morning - he is most excited about the possibility of seeing one!

    Evening all,

We've had a lovely day, not much apart from dailies since my last post but it's been nice having some family time. The Tardis cake went down well, Dsd2 said it was the best cake she'd ever tasted:T . I thought the blue icing would cause havoc with Ds2 ( after the blue lolly  ) but so far so good.

Hello hello hello, sorry busy busy day but very productive :) trying to keep my promise not to post too much to save poor toots battling through my waffle :o

soappie ((hugs)) hope you enjoyed it even if you were pooped, have a good nights sleep x
    Lamewolf good luck
Poppy yes very cheeky, I wouldn't have let him in for his access
embb, never let the secrets of your trade out :rotfl:
juliejim I dropped you a quick PM, if it's 1-2-1 I'd say a BIGGY is making sure the child is supported without feeling like you are their shadow and allowing them some independance as it's easy for a child to become dependant on and seek a shadow.....which quite frankly makes it hell for parents.
    Mudders congratulations x
Triker cars are tricky, my friends vectra diesel (which you can get in autotragic) is good on fuel if you need a larger car, VW Polo has always been good on fuel if you want a small car. Mini Cooper Diesel, very cool and free road tax. So many choices I don't even know what size car you need. VWs tend to be economical & hold value well. Some cars aren't as eco/green as they would have you think, need to research them well and look at the REAL effects.
toots, you are right, I will stop giving her clues, I will not mention how untidy under the stairs is ever ever ever....

As for cleaning stuff, so sorry not MSE at all but I just love these http://www.methodproducts.co.uk/ I know they are not MSE but they are great, of course being plant based I can use them on my cabinets even and be safe for my lizards :D As my other stuff is used up I am changing it all over to method stuff, glass cleaner I got smells divine, cleans eally well and is lasting AGES! (Maybe lack of use...haha...not!)

Pigpen's list DONE you nasty pasty, I did it....I also have hopefully resolved some issues with the new phone table......well we went for a phone table & came back with a cabinet, which has a filing system built in, a cupboard for my meeting stuff so it has a 'home' an area for DPs 'bits' where I can put anything belonging him inc his coins tub etc to get it out of the kitchen grrrr.....a tray when we get one for purse/wallet/keys/hair bobble/watch etc etc that end up on the table :D so yipppee the table is clear and SHOULD stay that way!

CAN I PLEASE HAVE MY STAR!!! That is 2 so far woohoooo!!!

We took 8 bags and boxes of stuff to the tip, mostly cardboard for recycling as we had loads after clearing the garage (from furniture we built) and loads more rubbish from in the house. Dropped off the duvets which were beyond human use but ok for animals too. TD still isn't sorted, I did kick but we need a specific tool he couldn't find to get into one part where some bearings are which we think may have collapsed. I've been to see little M's Mum and has an appointment to ask for referrals on Thursday. Dad has been for more tests and is back home again.

DS2s birthday tomorrow, my baby will be 9 :( where does the time go. He's at the dental hospital in the morning so I think a day off from school is called for, it's near Newcastle uni and the traffic there is a headache in itself so save me promising to have him back for lunch for it to be 2pm when we get back.

Tomorrows list is a much shorter one being DS2s birthday/appointment etc. It is mainly a catch up day for bits of my list I have missed, meeting prep for Thurs/Fri, dailies, Pigpen's list....
One day I might be more organised...........
