Morning all, not caught up yet.
I'm in this week as usual but, as usual, probably doing everything in the wrong order. This morning I've done the kitchen/diner and damp wiped the living room and computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs. I'll claim for the appropriate stars when they come round. My brain can't handle doing things on the "wrong" day, I can barely work out what day it is sometimes though.
Going to catch up a bit before I start cooking.
:rotfl: I know what you mean.... I automatically started on the kitchen last night and carried on this morning doing bits and bobs in there before work, even though by that time I knew it was littleys room.......Its become part of my routine now..... I cant stop myself! :TSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Not very productive - and I've been gone 1.5 hours!
Made
* Bread
* Little steamed puddings in some individual plastic pots I found at the weekend, with snap-on lids. Brilliant! I thought: just the job & saves faffing about with 6 little bits of foil. So I put the cake mixture in the pots, snapped on the lids, filled the roasting tin 3/4 full of water, inverted another roasting tin over the top of it all and put it in the oven...
35 minutes later, I lift the inverted roasting tin to find the snap-on lids permanently melted onto the metal. The little pots themselves look like 6 gently melting snowmen and the sponge inside isn't even cooked.

Did I do something wrong, Ladies???????
Also a hawk carrying a female blackbird has just crashed into my sitting room windows  (they're just too reflective now, y'see) frightening the life out of me. The blackbird looks dead, and the hawk looks dazed....
Will leave it alone for 10 mins or so.
What's next on the list meanwhile?
Humph. Replacement pudding, by the look of it. And chicken stock to make.
Triple humph.
Still no research done...:(

Sounds like the pudding basins weren't heatproof. You need to check that they're oven proof. Best way to use these is in the microwave - I worked in a restaurant where we prepared all our 'steamed' puddings in this way, so they could be cooked freshly for each order.
And I haven't done any research either - just proofread a paper and asked someone to do stage 2 review (hopefully he'll do it soon so it can go to final stage this afternoon and then off to editing). Suppose I'd better get one of the three due for Feb going properly, as my colleague has done nothing else on the one for this month :mad:0 -

answered a looong phone call (part work related/part catch up with old friend)
Cant do the garden because it's raining here (again) and they do tell you not to walk on it if the soil sticks to your boots (it does)
Writing it down like that doesnt seem a lot really; the emails have taken up loads of time though and they are definitely work related.
Off to have some lunch - soup and HM bread, then try to get on with some more catching up on the hosuework.
