Have these cowboys gone bust?
I bought a xbox 360 charge and play which didn't work. Sent it back for a refund on 12/1/10 and haven't heard from them. Their quick reply and on-line chat is not working. Will try their 0845 number tomorrow but it is looking very dodgy.
Can't even get a refund as paypal say they only give refunds on non-delivery and not faulty returned items.

hey
i think zoombits are a big scam. I placed an order about a month ago and nothing arrived after weeks. No emails or anything. Eventually found out they didt have it in stock and wouldt for ages. They told me they refunded me, when they havnt. Now they arnt replying to my emails and everything is bouncing back.
I paid through paypal so hoping paypal can get my money back.
Never using them ever again.0 -
Zoombits are shown as registered in Jersey and so are Memorybits, although the registrar for Memorybits is shown as being in Preston. you can't issue court summons as you would need to use the Jersey courts.
You could contact Jersey Trading Standards - tradingstandards@gov.jeThe man without a signature.0 -

I bought 58 pounds external hard drive from zoombits co uk ,
It is the same company of memorybits co uk
I have an email that saying it has been dispatched .I never had it delivered to my house. I tried to contact them but the email is an automatic message that saying to wait 14 days before to contact them .
I have been banned from this web page hotukdeals because i was try to inform the people about zoombits company . I wonder if they are working together! .0 -
I placed an order for a USB HDD, and was expecting dispatch the next day as promised. A week later nothing. I contacted them by e-mail and nothing, so I used the LiveChat. I was told it would be dispatched separately and that was it. Only when I insisted on knowing when did "Richard" check. Twenty plus minutes later, I was told they'd stopped selling them, and could I tell them where I saw it. So I pasted a link to their site. There response was it was an old page, and they don't sell them now, and the problem is people are going to their website from other websites - HELLO, this is Google, welcome to the 1990s - and I explained that was quite normal, asking if anyone checked these,or would they just have held onto my money if I hadn't chased it? YES, we probably would, I was told. So let's hope I now get the promised refund!!!
AVOID these people. Or suffer, your choice :-)0 -
Hi all,
I can only add to preivious threads, avoid at all cost, they are very quick at tacking your money.
My first and i wish it was my last incedent, was when they advertised an item wich i bought, only to wait two weeks to be told When i called them that the had never had it in stock & did not have any date that they would?
They promised me a refund, wich i did get but had to wait for two weeks.
Hence my money was out of my account for a month.
2nd incdent, they sent me the wrong goods, i informed them and they sent me a link for areturns form.
I sent the item back and waited, after about 10 days i conntacted them, to receive an email back saying they could do nothing until the item was returned.
In total over about three weeks i just kept on getting the same reply back.
A lot of headach for £6 pounds
I even requested that a manager or supervisor contact me, to be told they where on holiday?
Due to there very poor customer services and the way they made me feel like a liar, i will not be using them again.0 -
I recently tried to purchase a 16gb micro SD from Memory Bits and they sent a 4gb which I returned immediatly using their return form and address label. Two weeks later no replacment memory card has arrived. They say they have not received it and say they cannot do anything with my proof of posting certificate for six weeks! I have emailed Jersey Trading Standards for advice. Reading the Jersey distance selling law (very similar to UK regs) it seems that if you receive the wrong goods the safest thing is to tell them that you are cancelling the contract - you must do this within seven days of receipt of the goods. They must then give you a refund within 30 days.0

i purchased a r4card for the nintendo ds a couple of days ago from r4cards dot co dot uk a few days ago for 15.96 and they took the money out next day. upon looking at my statement today it says memorybits- £15.96 so maybe that company part of the others ??0

To balance things up a little - I've used Memorybits a couple of times and had no problems whatsoever. The last purchase was only recently, within the last couple of weeks.
Granted it's only been for SD cards and not expensive items but I would personally use them again.0
