wow my two both love the natures menu treats. mylo like to steal the packet and carry it around in his mouth! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

I forgot to mention I see alot less of these since regularly grooming my two with the Furminator. Typically the fat one (housecat) has longer & finer fur & used to produce these furballs intermittently (never when I am awake or indoors for some strange reason & never in the litter trays!) but very rarely does now (hence I stopped feeding DeFurrems).
Tip: alot of of better food manufacturers say `no treats' however if your moglets do get ocassional hand fed treats they will nearly ALWAYS eat whatever you offer them by hand. I give mine catnip drops sometimes & they generally assume anything being offered by hand is a treat (no - that doesn't work for worming tablets!).0 -
I'm glad your cat is ok, OP. My oldest cat has had furballs in the past, and I've treated her with the paste very successfully. I squeeze an inch onto her front paw and she licks it off quite happily.
I did that just a few weeks ago when she started that retching business again. I did it again the next day because she was still coughing/retching. By that evening, she was still at it, so I brought her to the vet... turns out she had pneumonia:eek::o.
A course of antibiotics and two weeks enforced rest and she's fine, but I'll think twice before assuming hairball again!I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

I feel ripped off, the Defurrum packet says "tasty treats that pets adore" and "helps prevent and remove hairballs" ... not true if he won't touch them! :rotfl:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Eh, I expect Noah knows he doesn't need them, with all that roughage in his raw meat and bones diet I'd be surprised if he ever got furballs which needed encouragement to make an exit.
You can post those treats to me if you like and I'll see if young Mr Stanley likes them. He's a short-haired fella and he's never coughed or produced a hairball but maybe he's just a slovenly groomer0 -
Noah has had three Defurrums in his breakfast today, no idea if they work in food ... ?? He was coughing yesterday so may have a furball.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

don't try & mend it.
Personally I think I would wait and see if Noah actually produces any - although mixing with food would ensure he digests the necessary material to ease them!0 -
Well nothing has happened, not even a pooh! Think I will have to wait to see the vet, Noah's belly is big but firm it's not worms and maybe not furballs ...

You can also get science plan 'hairball' formula, so no need to buy something extra, just buy a different variety of food every now and then.YNWA
