Credit card to help my credit score?

Hi All,
I keep getting refused on credit cards, banks etc because my credit score is low. I am quite a high earner so can easily afford to use one, but my question is......is there such a thing as a credit card which is available to people with bad credit scores? Even if the APR is 50% it doesn't matter, as I would spend someting on it regularly and pay it off each month, but I thought perhaps using a card would help my credit score.
Any ideas?
