I have a wretched HP Pavilion laptop which has an overheating problem, any recommendations for a cooling tray that works well with HP's..thks in advance..:)

have you tried cleaning it out hoovering it out? also redoing the thermal paste and also checking heat sink is properaly attached? sorry should have mention i take it you have checked the fans are all ok as well?0

Have you tried propping the back edge up about ½"?
Otherwise any USB-powered fan cooling stand might do, but last time I looked they were priced at some ludicrous amount like £20!0 -

depends if your laptop is 15" or 17", i'd recommend an aluminum bodied one rather than a plastic bodied one, AKASA make some good ones:

:T...Oh so funny! I work from home and that is what I currently use.....but sometimes I have to use laptop in front of clients...so need something that looks better...I am going to check out all suggestions...thk you.........:)0 -

Try not using it so much - 579 posts on MSE and you only joined this month! You under house arrest or something????
Maybe its overheating from your own body heat as you seem pretty wound up judging from the contents and tone of your posts.:think:0
