Flooded from what, a river burst its banks or something, it really depends on hwat happened. Can you elaboratemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

In actual fact there are quite a few Insurers who will pay out for this type of claim assuming you have comprehensive and a decent Insurer.
There were a spate of people driving through fords when Sat Navs first came out and ruining their engines (My friend managed to do it in his van and car at the same ford).
There may be an element of betterment depending how old the filter is and is expected to last.
Also bear in mind whether it is worth claiming after taking into account your potential loss of no claims bonus and claims loadings
If you can give us more details eg was it a puddle, or storm that caused it and who your insured with we may be able to give more specific advice0
