Sony Cyber-shot camera developed fault

Options
Wonder if anybody can help me.

I have a Sony Cyber-shot camera which is 5 years old and it has developed a fault. When you turn it on the view is all fuzzy and it won't take pictures.

It did this once before and I pressed the reset button and it 'fixed it'. It won't fix it now.

I really don't want to buy a new camera as this one was the last present my Dad gave me before he passed away so it has sentimental value.

Any help much appreciated.

Been investigating and it looks like there is a known fault. I'm updating this thread in case somebody else stumbles across it in the future. I've contacted them so hopefully they can repair it for me foc.

Just wanted to update that my camera was returned today, repaired foc. Very quick and easy form to fill in online, print out, including Freepost label. They emailed and text to say they had it and that it would be back in 5 days and it was. Very happy. My Sis has the same camera with the same fault so she is sending her one off today too.

Bearing in mind that offer applies to some cameras nearly 8 years old, top marks to Sony.

Totally agree, I would certainly buy Sony again.
