plusnet billing error

  • What Plusnet does, overcharge a certain amount of customers and then refund them two weeks later, is a sort of cash advance. They probably have financial diffculties and use customer bank accounts to go on a few days. The single amounts are small and many people are even unlikely to notice, but when added up they build up a good budget. When they refund you, they'll take the money to someone else. Every customer, in turns, lends them money unknowingly. So, be sure of one thing: it will happen again!
Plusnet aren't disputing that they need to radically improve their accounting system but this statement is bordering on being libellous :(

One reason I migrated to them was that I was fed up with my previous ISP regularly changing owners. As Plusnet is owned by a BT company there was little likelihood of this happening again.

I think that most people will find your suggestion amusing :rotfl:
  • Thanks to all for their comments.
My next prob with plusnet is that email messages get blocked as plusnet appears to be blacklisted by free.fr

An obvious question is why are you using a French provider to access Plusnet emails when you could use, as I do, their own webmail service.

I'd suggest going to Plusnet community forums and raising this point as free.fr shouldn't be doing this.

I am trying to send a email message from plusnet to a @aliceadsl.fr address and the non-delivery message comes back as from free.fr (aliceadsl may be part free). I have taken this up with plusnet.

PlusNet's billing sucks. I have had no end of incorrect billing problems, and trying to sort it out has become a real PITA. I'll be off as soon as my contract is up.

    :(
