Can anyone recommend a free music editing software package (XP, Vista or Linux - I don't mind).
I have some music on CDs, and my daughter likes some of the music and wants it on her mp3 player.
Unfortunately there are a couple of places where there is inappropriate language (f-words and the like) which I would like to edit out as I do not consider them suitable for an 8 year old. Ideally I would like to insert half second blanks over the odd place where there is swearing.
(I don't want to get into debates about what is/is not suitable for 8 year olds! - not here anyway)
Many thanks.
