Praise for Comet!

ok, i know lots of people have bad experiences with Comet but i feel i need to give them a little praise!
a little background, ordered a washing machine from Dixons last feb, was delivered damaged so they came out to repair, had a further 8 visits from the repair guy throughout the year when i thought enough is enough, i had to fight tooth and nail to get a new machine, i wanted to change to a different make and model as i lost all faith in that one. Anyway 3 weeks later, they finally delivered my new machine and when it was delivered it was also damaged (i swear they must jump all over them at the depot!) kept that one for a further week whilst they sent me a new one, 3rd time lucky and millions (ok probably a little over exaggeration but hey ho!) of phone calls later i now have a spankingly new perfect (so far) washing machine.
fast forward to last week and tumble dryer needs replacing. i decided to get one to match my washing machine and found Comet to be the cheapest. After reading reviews i was a bit dubious but it was over £70 cheaper than other places. I ordered last sunday and the guys delivered on wednesday. They phone me an hour before they turned up :T to warn me, we all had a quick look over the front of the machine and no obvious damage. the guys were so nice and pleasant
this morning i go to clean the filter and notice a huge crack along the bottom of the machine, i signed the delivery slip to say there was no damage so thought i was in for another fight. they guy i spoke to said he couldn't get hold of who he needed to and would ring me back. less than 20 mins later he called me back and said he has arranged for a new machine to be delivered next week
i would have been happy with just a repair. now i know they have a responsibility under the DSR's etc but compared to dixons they have been brilliant with me
way to go Comet!

I never thought I would see a thread praising comet, good for you!
I still despise them thoughthough not as much as the 'go compare' freak who should be castrated without anaesthetic and a rusty knife
The advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D
Don't like what I have to say? Call me on 0800 KMA;)0 -
