Even Greater Savings On Motor Fuel

I addition to Martins advice on using the cheapest fuel locator I go steps further.
Using the Locator last week I found the cheapest fuel in Barnsley, only 10 miles away.
I tied it into a shopping trip so I wouldnt be going 10 miles each way just to fill up and defeat the object.
Petrol was only 91.9p/litre
my tank took 55 litres
using Morrisons I get back 1.5p per litre by way of "miles" vouchers so effectively paying 90.4p a litre and then of course I paid with a Tescos credit card getting me tesco points as well.
We dont shop at Morrisons or Tescos unless we have to. we go on to Asda to have a meal in their cafeteria , a decent meal and drink for under £3.50 each, then main shopping at Lidl which cant be beat by comparison. I didn't add up our total savings but did notice petrol at morrisons, Hillsborough(sheffield) at 94.9p/litre just a day later
