How about a BT van instead http://www.btfleet.com/sales/vehicleSalesEnquiry.aspx

Use the form and they will send you a list of the current vehicles they are selling. They are all serviced well in house.

Check the BCA site, they auction a lot of transco, royal mail and BT fleet vehicles.

    Google Britsh Car auctions.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

Ex- BT vans are generally better than ex-BG vans.

i would agree here, you still see plenty of older ex BT van running around than you do ex gas.

if you want ex gas then you will be looking at citroen berlingos mostly, unless your wanting something bigger like a transit then it will have done more weathered work and probably be in a poorer state inside.
BT vans are usually transits or vivaros, usually all well kept and usually one driver will keep the van from day one until it gets sold, meaning he will look after it a bit better.

i would keep well clear of ex royal mail, these vans get no sympathy at all.

i assume because your a heating engineer you think the gas van will be better kitted out inside. it might be,but the BT ones usually come with racking, rear steps and roof racks. any other bits you need you could buy them, especially if your getting a better van.
don't buy a van based on how well the back is kitted out.

the bg vans are nearly all one driver from new also and there are lots of makes to chose from eg transit connect which is what i am looking for really ..the service on the bg vans is good and most of the small vans are low mileage when bg sell them ..i had a gas van and when they sold it i had only done 36k from new ..

so bg vans only please ..
